Doha Precast Factory welcomes British Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Michael O'Neill
British Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Michael O'Neill, was accompanied by British Director of Trade & Investment to Qatar, Mr. Gareth O'Brien, and several members of the BSI Group last week to congratulate the team of Doha Precast Factory (DPF).
The honorable guests spent the morning touring the offices, factory, and laboratories of Doha Precast Factory (DPF), and continued to the DPF hall for a presentation ceremony. During the tour, the Ambassador was asked to stamp the first BSI Kitemark seal on DPF's largest standard reinforced concrete pipe. This stamp, including the reference standard confirmation numbers, will be included on all DPF products, along with the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) Quality mark.
DPF General Manager, Mr. Nasser Kammar, commented: "It is an honor to receive Ambassador O'Neill. We thank him and the BSI organization for recognizing our dedication to quality and celebrating this prestigious milestone for our company. My team and I are committed to producing the best products for our clients, and we look forward to the challenges yet to come."
The BSI Kitemark was issued after a thorough, independent assessment. With the successful audit completed last month, The British Standards Institution (BSI Group) issued DPF a license to use the symbol—assuring the public that DPF's products conform to appropriate standards and demonstrate the utmost quality, safety, and reliability.
BSI Representative, Mr. Leo Tinnelly, reported that DPF personnel "demonstrated a strong commitment" to quality management and commended them on their "honest and proactive approach".
The Kitemark Certificate Number is KM 590202, confirming that the standards have all been met or exceeded under BS EN 1916:2002 & BS 5911 P 1:2002 A2:2010. DPF certified all its products under Protocol PCP 590, including concrete pipes and fittings, un-reinforced steel fibre and reinforced and fibre-cement products.
The Kitemark represents DPF's third international quality certification body, after American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) Quality Certificate of Storm Sewer and Culver Pipe and Manholes, as well as ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2008, and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certificates.
